A rare treasure!
This is a New Old Stock (NOS) Genuine lower door assembly for a late Series 3 Land Rover. It comes with a period-correct, factory-fitted anti-burst type door lock assembly. This door assembly can be fitted to any Series 2 2a 3 Land Rover, but you may need to upgrade the door catch (striker plate) on the door pillar to one that's compaitble with the anti-burst lock, which was introduced during Series 3 production.
Unlike the available aftermarket lower doors for Series, which are just the panel (i.e. the steel door frame and its alloy skin), this is the complete door assembly, including the door hinges, door lock assembly and the galvanised capping. Aftermarket Series doors which are not made in the same way as the original doors, and are dimensionally inaccurate in our experience—even the quality brand ones. This can cause door fitment issues.
