This is a New Old Stock (NOS) Genuine Australian Army cutaway left hand side outer mudguard (wing, fender) panel in its original Land Rover packaging. Cutaway mudguards were fitted to Australian Army Series 2a Land Rovers during and after the Vietnam War era. The commonly accepted explanation is that it's a modification that orginated in service to reduce mud accumulation and improve tyre clearance. It then became the Australian Army specification.
